Overview: Congregation Rodeph Shalom is a reform congregation in Center City, Philadelphia. GeoStructures provided construction testing and inspection to accommodate legacy expansion and renovation of the facility.

The expansion and renovation plan contained many upgrades, including a new south entrance providing vehicular drop-off, barrier-free access to all public areas of the building, expanded gallery space, a new community room, an exterior courtyard, a second-floor renovation for the addition of more offices and classrooms for their learning center, and many physical upgrades to help enhance its location along Broad Street, Philadelphia. GeoStructures’ scope of work for the project inspections included:
- Foundations and backfill compaction
- Bottom of footing bearing verification
- Cast-in-place concrete & reinforcement
- Structural steel with Ultrasonic Testing
- Fireproofing inspection
