4-Story High-Performance Building, 201 Rouse Boulevard, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Overview: 201 Rouse Boulevard marked the eighth high-performance building for Liberty Property Trust in the Philadelphia Navy Yard area. The building’s design featured amenities such as a health food focused café, indoor/outdoor recreational facilities, and state-of-the-art conference facilities. Additionally, the building was developed with environmentally sustainable design features, including ongoing air quality monitoring, environmentally sensitive landscaping, and a construction recycling program to redirect construction waste from landfills. GeoStructures performed the construction materials inspection work during the development of this 4-story building. 

GeoStructures was retained by Liberty Property Trust to perform the construction materials inspection work. We worked alongside Turner Construction for the daily onsite activities, including:

• Pile driving inspection and supervision of PDA testing
• Earthwork, subgrade, footings, and fill compaction
• Inspection of cast-in-place concrete, structural concrete, unit masonry assemblies, structural steel
• Fireproofing inspection
