GeoStructures is seeking a Staff Engineer to conduct research and laboratory testing on soil and construction materials such as aggregates, cement, concrete, and asphalt. Responsibilities include selecting optimal equipment, developing in-house testing procedures, and collaborating with geotechnical design and inspection departments on various projects for public and private sector clients.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in construction materials testing, or equivalent academic experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, concrete air meter, and breaking samples.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct soil and construction material testing (e.g., soil classification, Proctor, CBR, concrete mix design, viscosity testing).
- Review ASTM, AASHTO, and other testing standards to develop in-house procedures.
- Collaborate with geotechnical design and inspection departments.
- Assist with laboratory coordination and testing services.
