Description & Requirements
GeoStructures is seeking ambitious construction quality control field engineers and technicians eager to advance their careers in soil, concrete, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel inspection and testing. Candidates should have a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. A Bachelor’s or an Associate’s degree in engineering or technology is required, or a willingness to pursue one. An eagerness to learn and obtain necessary certifications for specific job duties is essential.
Summary of Duties
- Perform soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and structural steel testing and inspection services.
- Preferred certifications: ACI, NICET, and AWS.
- Conduct moisture/density testing of soil and asphalt; test slump, air content, and mold cylinders of fresh concrete; inspect masonry and grout, bolted/welded connections, and fireproofing of structural steel.
- Learn and follow specific building codes and construction standards.
- Monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications.
- Interact professionally with client representatives (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sites.
- Produce detailed daily documentation of work activities.
Basic Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Reliability to arrive at project sites on time.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass drug test and background check.
- Enjoy working outdoors and ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Willingness to travel for one to two weeks at a time and be reliable on short notice.
