Township Line Storage Dam
- Our Projects
Township Line Storage Dam
Project Overview
Subsurface information from nine test borings (performed along the crest and side slopes of the berm) was supplemented by index testing, direct shear tests, and unconfined compression tests on the compacted clay soils in the laboratory.
The dam’s condition was found to be excellent, and no seepage was detected. Stability of the heightened dam was considered under the following stages: end of construction, full reservoir, rapid drawdown, and long-term. GeoStructures’ engineers also designed the benching and blanket drain details and provided criteria for extending the spillway walls.
