Vibration Monitoring and Analyses
Service Overview
Experimental dynamic/vibration measurements have many applications. A major reason for vibration testing of a structure or machine is to determine its natural frequencies— those of which are extremely important in predicting and understanding a system’s dynamic behavior.
Results from vibration tests can be used to verify an analytical model (such as a finite element model) and to calibrate dynamic material properties. Vibration testing is also used in machinery diagnostics for maintenance.
Ground Vibration Monitoring
Monitor ground vibrations from construction activities to prevent damage.
Floor Vibration Levels
Assess vibrations in office buildings due to foot traffic.
Acoustic Noise Surveys
Measure decibel levels and implements noise reduction techniques.
Ambient Vibration Surveys
Conduct surveys to measure background vibration levels for sensitive instruments.
Impact Hammer Testing
Determine natural frequencies and damping ratios of structures using impact hammer or bump tests.
Triggered Vibration Monitoring
Monitor vibration responses triggered by specific sources.
Structural Vibration Testing
Evaluate natural frequencies and structural dynamics.
Pile Integrity Testing (PIT)
Assess pile or drilled shaft length, integrity, and design capacity.
